This photo was taken last April when I accompanied Lolo Thomas for his campaign for the election. To my surprise, we walked 3 mountains and crossed 2 rivers just to reach the houses (the place was Mountain Province to start with hehehe).
Early that day he asked me if I would like to accompany him and I quickly agreed. So I wore my black shirt, tight jeans, necklace and white snickers. We walked all through out the day on a very hot weather (considering I was even wearing black and have no head gear or umbrella). We walk through the river banks, rice fields, went down cliffs, went up on a recently done “”kaingin” (I can’t even breath with all the smoke around). It was already lunch time so we decided to eat at the riverside. After eating, I was amazed to see the clean river, no garbage, clear water, with tadpoles and small fish around. It was even tempting to take a swim or drink from it. I can’t control myself so I gargled and the water in my mouth was so refreshing, I started taking of my shoes and clothes off when suddenly grandpa called me so we could get going. So I dressed up and went to stood on the biggest rock so I could appreciate the river at the last time. As I was looking around, I was shocked to see a carabao taking a dip at the river at the northern part where the water comes from. I was disgusted to think that I gargled on it, though despite everything, I just had a good laugh! A lot happened during that day actually. More stories to share next time.
