A WALK IN THE WOODS!
A walk in the woods is very much refreshing! I guess this is what you call "APPRECIATING MOTHER NATURE!"
BOTHERED BY HIGH EXPECTATIONS
Have you been in any situation where a lot of people expect so much from you?
In life’s battle, two things may happen, either you win or lose. But, what if you lose and you were not able to exceed their expectations? What if they entrusted you big things? Wouldn’t that be a pressure?
In my 22 years of existence, a lot of things has been entrusted to me. People believe so much in me that failing them would be like giving them pain. I grew up the way they want me to be. I acted according to their will. As if i was a robot who depends on their commands ignoring my own freedom. I am always told to do this and that. I am always told of fulfilling their dream that some day I may lift the said status from its downfall.
Pressure has been running through my veins for all this years and feared that failure might come cross my path. And, I still have years to draw my sword in this battle. Now, the questions is… Will I make it? Will i succeed?
The Facebook Fever!
Do you even remember when was the date you made your facebook account?
Well, me? I do! I actually made one just to keep in touch with my cousins abroad. Friendster, MySpace and Multiply have been at it’s peak back then. Days have passed and Facebook has been a craze and everybody has left their usual social networking sites. I guess you could say that facebook is a lot better with its wide range of applications, unlimited album uploads, private messages (pm)/chat and the like. I believe everybody has been familiar with farmville, mafia wars, texas holdem poker. I even remember people asking me for gifts. To my surprise, even children below 12 years old has an access to it! I hope they are guided by their parents or guardians, though I kind of doubt it a bit. With the generation we have now, youngsters have an easy access to the internet. I remember my nephew and niece, asking me to add him up, upon checking, indeed they have one. Well, on the other hand, Facebook has not only been a hit to young ones but to people young at heart - our parents. Both my parents has a facebook account, uploaded some of their memorable pictures and chats with their amigos and amigas!
Indeed, with the fast growing turn over of technology, things has gone wild. Now, few questions are “How many times do you log yourself in?, How long do you stay online, How often do you post, comment, like, share or flag?” Have you thought of the answer? So, how are you on the Facebook fever? …c”,)…!
A SHOE turned FLOWER POT! How Fascinating!
This photo was taken last April when I accompanied Lolo Thomas for his campaign for the election. To my surprise, we walked 3 mountains and crossed 2 rivers just to reach the houses (the place was Mountain Province to start with hehehe).
Early that day he asked me if I would like to accompany him and I quickly agreed. So I wore my black shirt, tight jeans, necklace and white snickers. We walked all through out the day on a very hot weather (considering I was even wearing black and have no head gear or umbrella). We walk through the river banks, rice fields, went down cliffs, went up on a recently done “”kaingin” (I can’t even breath with all the smoke around). It was already lunch time so we decided to eat at the riverside. After eating, I was amazed to see the clean river, no garbage, clear water, with tadpoles and small fish around. It was even tempting to take a swim or drink from it. I can’t control myself so I gargled and the water in my mouth was so refreshing, I started taking of my shoes and clothes off when suddenly grandpa called me so we could get going. So I dressed up and went to stood on the biggest rock so I could appreciate the river at the last time. As I was looking around, I was shocked to see a carabao taking a dip at the river at the northern part where the water comes from. I was disgusted to think that I gargled on it, though despite everything, I just had a good laugh! A lot happened during that day actually. More stories to share next time.
